The public DSO ASM Terni is a small-scale DSO fully owned by the local municipality. The multi-utility operator ASM, directly owns and operates the power distribution grid and distributes electricity from the MV-LV and HV-MV substation to 65,000 consumers’ as well as owning a number of power generation units, including an increasing share of fluctuating renewable energy sources, consisting mostly of photovoltaic farms.
