NOBEL GRID brought smart energy tools to FITUR 2018

file9Finnova exhibited NOBEL GRID in the International Tourism Fair Trade (FITUR 2018) -celebrated in Madrid between the 17th -21st of January- to present how its smart energy tools and services could help tourism sector reduce its operational costs while increasing competitiveness and sustainability.

Finnova Foundation, partner of the consortium, hosted in its booth the most relevant ongoing EU projects they are working on like NOBEL GRID, which drew visitor’s attention since its advanced tools can help tourism sector in a competitiveness and sustainability way like its smart meter: SLAM.

“SLAM is a smart meter that allows to monitor and manage energy consumption and production, as well as other parameters of supply quality in houses, industry and any type of buildings. Through this meter, users can remotely and securely access to information in real time of the electricity supply that is being carried out, thus allowing smart management of consumption and reduction in the energy bill”, explained Iñigo Bilbao, Head of Smart Cities of Finnova.

This event was a great opportunity for networking and show the benefits of NOBEL GRID in an economic sector that provides 10.2 % of the GDP of the European economy and is responsible for 24 million jobs created.
