21 June 2016.- NOBEL GRID has participated in the Energy Day of the EU Sustainable Energy Week “Partenalia members: Best Practices on Energy projects  under the EU Framework Programmes” the 21st June in Brussels.

The event co-organized by Finnova Foundation (partner of Nobel Grid Consortium) and Partenalia Association aimed to present and share success stories of ongoing efficient-energy projects under the Horizon 2020 Programme and the FP7 Programme all around the European Regions associated to Partenalia.

The projects presented together with Nobel Grid were “ BRICKER: Total Renovation Strategies for Energy Reduction in Public Building Stock” of the Province of Liege (Belgium) and “BESOS Project: Building Energy Decision Support Systems for Smart Cities” of ETRA (Spain). The three of them have in common their focus on empowering people as a key factor in the energy transition, so their project officers and project coordinators explained how to manage efficiently projects on energy.

Besides, the renewable energy cooperative Ecopower in Flanders (Belgium), which acts as renewable generator and supplier cooperative, was presented as one of the 5 pilot sites of the projects.

Within the framework of energy transition Finnova presented the StartUp Europe Awards, an initiative promoted by the European Commission and implemented with the support of the StartUp Europe. This action, which is currently in phase of development, aims at rewarding the startups in different areas, such energy, across Europe and also gathering all the startups awards organisers held in Europe under the umbrella of the StartUp Europe Awards Alliance.
